Perfectly fitting riding boots and half chaps made to measure by the best manufacturers in the business. We take your measurements and guide you through the entire process.
Made to measure for discerning riders
Riding boots are not everyday shoes. They must fit like a second skin, hug the calf closely and still remain comfortable for hours. Only made-to-measure boots can achieve this. Made-to-measure boots fit perfectly, last longer than off-the-peg boots, look more elegant and make a decisive contribution to the rider’s aids. We offer made-to-measure boots from the most renowned manufacturers in the business: DeNiro, Petrie and Cavallo. Whether dressage, show jumping or eventing, together with you we will find the model and the details that suit you perfectly.

Frequently asked questions
What should I wear when having measurements taken for made-to-measure riding boots?
It is best if you come in riding breeches and wearing the socks you will later use in the boots. Calf circumference is measured over the riding breeches at the widest point, which means even slightly thicker or thinner fabric will change the result. This allows us to assess precisely how much room is needed in the leg.
What time of day should I have my measurements taken for riding boots?
Ideally you should be measured in the afternoon or evening, because calf circumference increases during the day and feet are at their slimmest in the morning. Boots measured in the morning can feel too tight later in the day. It is therefore best to schedule your appointment with us in the shop for the second half of the day. From Monday to Friday we are open until 6pm.
Why are new leather riding boots initially too tall?
New leather riding boots are initially a little taller because the leather drops as you break them in and the leg moves down by about 1 to 2 cm in the first few weeks. Once broken in, the top of the boot should finish just below the back of the knee. Boots that are exactly the right height from the start usually end up too short after the break-in period.
Which measurements are taken for made-to-measure boots?
For made-to-measure boots we measure, among other things, calf height, calf circumference, instep, arch and foot length. We also discuss leather, shape, leg, riding discipline and area of use, as well as colour, embellishments, details and fastenings. We place the order with the manufacturer and the fitting takes place on delivery in our shop in Tangstedt.
How do I care for leather riding boots properly?
After riding, clean leather boots with lukewarm water and a well-wrung sponge. Once the leather has dried, care for smooth leather with shoe polish so that it remains supple. Please do not use leather grease or saddle soap. Wet boots should dry slowly at room temperature, never on a radiator. Store the boots in a dry and well-ventilated place.
