At Ariat, the suffix H2O stands for waterproof models, which are called Waterproof on the manufacturer’s website. Harper, Telluride Zip and Wythburn II use DRYShield construction, which is waterproof and at the same time breathable and is designed to keep your feet dry on wet or muddy ground. For the original Wythburn H2O Insulated Ariat specifies a Waterproof Pro membrane.

If INS or Insulated is also in the name, the boot is additionally insulated. In our range, the Harper, Telluride and Wythburn models, among others, carry the H2O designation.

Many Ariat models are labelled in UK sizes, which you can convert using the Ariat size chart. For women, UK 4.5 corresponds to EU size 37.5, UK 5 to 38, UK 5.5 to 38.5, UK 6 to 39, UK 6.5 to 40, UK 7 to 41, UK 7.5 to 41.5 and UK 8 to 42.

If you are between two sizes, Ariat generally recommends the smaller size for a close fit and the larger one for a more comfortable fit. In our online shop, some models are listed in UK sizes and some in EU sizes. You can try them on in our shop in Tangstedt.

The insulated models are intended for cold days. According to Ariat, the Wythburn II Waterproof Insulated has 200 g Thinsulate insulation, which stores warmth without being bulky, plus a shearling lining, a moisture-wicking inner fabric and a shaft that is about 11 inches high.

The original Wythburn H2O Insulated is also insulated with 200 g Thinsulate and has a synthetic fur lining. According to the manufacturer, the Harper Sherpa is fully lined with soft sherpa fleece and is therefore the warmer version of the Harper ankle boot.

With some models, yes. Harper and Wythburn II are, according to Ariat, explicitly approved for riding, and both have a heel of about one inch. Ariat describes the Telluride Zip as ideal for endurance riding, long hacks and trekking. It has a front zip and ATS technology, which is intended to support your foot on uneven ground.

According to the manufacturer, the Duratread outer sole of these models combines durability with flexibility. The best way to find out whether a boot works well with your stirrups is to try it out in our shop.

Wipe the boots down with a damp cloth or sponge after every wear, because dirt and sweat attack the leather. For a thorough clean, Ariat recommends a special leather cleaner instead of household products, because these dry out the leather.

After that, apply leather care in circular movements until it has been absorbed, and waterproof the boots if required in a well ventilated room. Smooth-leather care is not suitable for any suede or nubuck parts. Store the boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
