HV Polo Riding Socks

HV Polo riding socks are sold in size ranges based on shoe size. The manufacturer lists the Argyle socks in, among others, 35/38 and 39/42, and the HVP-Winter winter socks in 31/34, 35/38 and 39/42.

We stock HV Polo socks in 31–34, 35–38 and 39–42, depending on the model and colour. HV Polo describes the Argyle as a slim-cut riding sock for women and children, and the winter sock as a unisex model.

The difference lies in the material and the padding. According to HV Polo, the Argyle is made from 77% cotton, 21% polyester and 2% elastane, is breathable, has a reinforced heel and toe and is intended for year-round use. The stretch content is designed to prevent it from slipping inside your riding boots.

The HVP-Winter contains 25% wool, plus polyacrylic, polyamide and elastane. It has targeted padding at the toes for more comfort in your riding boots and is made for cold days in the yard and in the saddle.

Wash HV Polo Argyle socks inside out at 30 °C on a normal cycle. This is what the manufacturer states in the care instructions, and they also advise washing them with similar colours. Bleaching, dry cleaning and tumble drying are not recommended.

The brand is owned by HV Polo BV, based in The Hague in the Netherlands. The sewn-in care label applies to each model, because the winter socks with their wool content have a different composition from the cotton Argyle socks.
