Kingsland Riding Socks

Kingsland gives the sizes of its riding socks as ranges, for example 35/37, 38/40, 41/43 and 44/46, and for children also 29/34. If you wear size 38, you choose the 38/40 range. The Classic Show Socks are the exception: here the manufacturer uses the ranges 29/35, 36/41 and 42/46.

We stock Kingsland socks, depending on the model, in 35-37, 38-40, 41-43 and 44-46, and the Classic Show Socks 3-pack in 42-46. If you are between two ranges, it is best to try the socks on in our shop together with your riding boots.

The Coolmax socks are designed for warm days, the Woolmix and Primaloft models for winter. Kingsland describes Coolmax yarn as breathable, quick-drying and moisture-wicking, in the KLAlly for example with 71% Coolmax polyester.

According to the manufacturer, the Woolmix socks such as KLMargit, KLAudrey and KLAiden consist of a blend with 28% wool and are intended to keep you warm and regulate moisture. KLAudrey and KLAiden also have a padded sole and compression at the arch. The KLAmra uses hollow Primaloft fibres which, according to Kingsland, provide warmth without being bulky inside tall riding boots.

The Classic Show Socks combine a thin nylon leg with a foot section made from a soft cotton blend. Kingsland states a composition of 62% nylon, 35% cotton and 3% elastane and emphasises that the socks are intended to retain their shape and softness even after many washes.

The thin leg adds hardly any bulk in close-fitting riding boots, which makes the socks well suited to long days in the saddle and at competitions. There is a subtle Kingsland logo on the side of the calf. We stock the Classic Show Socks as a 3-pack in Black and in Navy.

Kingsland recommends washing garments inside out at a maximum of 30 °C on a gentle cycle and avoiding fabric softener. Instead of a tumble dryer, the manufacturer advises air drying. Always follow the care symbols on the label, which Kingsland sews into all its products.

Some models such as KLAlly and KLAmra are treated with Polygiene StayFresh. This antibacterial finish is intended to keep odours away for longer so that, according to Kingsland, the socks do not need to be washed as often. Washing them less often is also easier on the fibres.
