Full seat, knee patch or grip?
The right type of seat patch is crucial for security, comfort and function and depends very much on your riding style. Full seat (silicone or leather) covers the entire seat and inner leg area and gives maximum grip. It is ideal for competition use and dressage, where a quiet, stable seat is required. Knee patch limits the grip area to the inside of the knee: a versatile option that combines freedom of movement and grip and is equally suitable for training, show jumping and leisure riding. Grip riding breeches have modern silicone prints in key areas, are cut in a sporty and modern way and are ideal for ambitious leisure riders and competition riders. How tight should riding breeches fit?
Riding breeches should fit close and smooth without digging in or restricting your movement. They should not crease on the thighs and knees, because folds can rub when riding and cause pressure points. They should also fit well at the ankle so that fabric does not bunch up under the boot. In our shop you can compare different cuts directly.
How do I wash riding breeches with silicone grip?
Wash riding breeches with silicone grip inside out on a gentle cycle at 30 degrees and do not use fabric softener, which can clog the fibres of technical fabrics. Fasten all hook-and-loop fastenings beforehand and brush off coarse dirt. Let the breeches air dry instead of using a tumble dryer. The care label of your style always takes priority.
Can I try on riding breeches with you?
Yes, in our shop in Tangstedt you can try on women’s riding breeches in sizes 32–46, as well as men’s and children’s riding breeches, in peace and quiet. Together we look at cut, waistband and leg length and compare different brands and seat patch types. We are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, Saturday from 9am to 2pm.
Can I order riding breeches online and collect them in the shop?
Yes, you can order online and collect your goods from our pick-up station at the shop in Tangstedt. On working days, if you order and pay by 5pm, your order will be ready from 6pm (on Saturdays, if you pay by 1pm, it will be ready for collection from 2pm). The goods remain in the box for 3 days. Alternatively, we ship within Germany (free shipping from €100) and to all EU countries.
