Do Aigle wellington boots come up large?
For the Parcours 2 boots, Aigle points out that they come up slightly large. If you are between two sizes, the manufacturer recommends choosing the smaller one. There should be a little space between your toes and the front of the boot, and a slight lift of the heel when walking is normal as long as your foot does not slip out of the boot.
The calf width is also important because rubber has very little give. Aigle advises measuring the calf circumference while sitting with the knee bent at 90 degrees and adding about 0.5 cm for trousers that are worn inside the boot.
What is the difference between Parcours 2, Parcours 2 Iso and Parcours 2 Vario?
All three boots have the anti-fatigue sole of the Parcours 2 with three rubber densities, a cushioning insert and a stabilising midsole, but they differ in the lining and the leg. The Parcours 2 has a quick-drying polyester lining.
The Parcours 2 Vario has a gusset which, according to Aigle, adapts to any calf width and makes the boots easier to put on and take off. The Parcours 2 Iso also has a gusset, is lined with neoprene and, according to the manufacturer, insulates down to minus 20 degrees. For very active work Aigle recommends lined models less, because you will sweat in them.
What are Aigle wellington boots made of?
Aigle makes its wellington boots mainly from natural rubber instead of petroleum-based plastics. According to the manufacturer, they are produced by hand in more than 60 work steps, which is intended to make them durable and flexible.
For the Parcours 2 boots, assembly, stitching and finishing take place in France. The lining of the standard model is polyester, and in the Iso it is neoprene (chloroprene). The tread has a self-cleaning lug pattern that is intended to provide grip on slippery ground.
How do I care for Aigle wellington boots?
Clean the boots regularly with clear, slightly soapy water and a sponge. Let them dry without heat, so not on the radiator and not in the sun. Store them at room temperature, without heat, moisture or extreme dryness.
Aigle additionally recommends treating the rubber every three months or so with its in-house care product Swipol: spray it on and wipe it off with a lint-free cloth. This preserves the appearance of the natural rubber for a long time.
