Ariat Paddock Boots

Ariat converts its US sizes into UK and European sizes. For women, UK 4 corresponds to EU size 37, UK 5 to 38, UK 6 to 39, UK 7 to 41 and UK 8 to 42. For men, UK 9 corresponds to EU size 43 and UK 10 to EU size 44.5.

The decisive factor is the length of your foot, which you can determine using Ariat’s measuring template. If you fall between two sizes, Ariat recommends the smaller size for a firmer fit and the larger size for a looser fit. The Heritage Zip is also available from Ariat in a regular and a wide foot width.

Both Ariat paddock boots have a shaft of around 15 cm, a riding heel of about 2.5 cm and a rounded toe. They are made from full-grain leather with moisture-wicking lining and are approved for riding. The difference lies in the fastening: the Ariat Heritage Zip has a YKK zip at the front, while the Ariat Heritage Lace has lacing with notches to allow more freedom of movement at the ankle.

They share 4LR technology for lightweight stability, a removable insole, heel cushioning and the Duratread sole for grip in the stirrup.

Yes, Ariat offers paddock boots with DRYShield, a waterproof and breathable construction that is intended to keep your feet dry on wet or muddy ground. This includes the Ariat Heritage Zip Waterproof, which is otherwise the same as the Ariat Heritage Zip with front zip.

For cold days there is also the Ariat Heritage IV Zip in a Waterproof Insulated version with 200 g Thinsulate insulation from 3M. According to Ariat it keeps you warm without being bulky and it also has a leather upper with moisture-wicking lining.

The Ariat Palisade is a pull-on paddock boot with elastic inserts on both sides. In contrast to the Ariat Heritage with its rounded toe, it has a square toe shape and a padded topline. The shaft is also about 15 cm high and the heel about 2.5 cm.

The Ariat Palisade is also made from full-grain leather, has moisture-wicking lining, 4LR technology, a removable insole and a Duratread sole. Integrated heel cushioning is intended to absorb impact.
