Casco Riding Helmets

Use a soft tape measure to measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows, across the middle of your forehead and over the most prominent part at the back of your head. For the Mistrall 2, 50–54 cm corresponds to size S, 55–57 cm to size M, 58–60 cm to L and 60–63 cm to XL.

The ranges differ from model to model: the Duell starts in size S from as little as 51 cm, Choice and Nori are available in XS with 50–52 cm and S with 52–56 cm. If your measurement is on the boundary between two sizes, it is worth trying the helmets on. In our shop in Tangstedt we are happy to advise you on the fit.

The Casco riding helmets Mistrall 2, Duell, Duell One, Choice 2.0 and Nori 2.0 are tested to EN 1384:2023, the European standard for riding helmets. This is stated in the EU declaration of conformity from Casco, which also lists the test certificate for each model.

Choice 2.0 and Nori 2.0 are additionally certified as a bicycle helmet to EN 1078 and as a ski helmet to EN 1077. For the models Champ-3, Spirit-3 and Apart, Casco lists the British standard PAS 015:2011 in addition to EN 1384:2023.

The Duell uses the same microfibre lining as the Mistrall 2, but has a wider peak and insect protection made of aluminium that covers the front air inlets. The lining is removable and washable.

The Mistrall 2 is available in four sizes from 50 to 63 cm, the Duell in three sizes from 51 to 60 cm. For both, Casco offers a winter set and interchangeable MyStyle coloured stripes as accessories, for example with Swarovski crystals. In the end, the shape of your head decides which helmet fits better.

Yes, for small heads. Casco describes the Choice as a plain riding helmet for children, teenagers and ladies with small heads, with a shell that extends far down at the back and over the temples. It is available in XS for 50–52 cm and S for 52–56 cm head circumference and weighs around 360 g in size S.

The width is adjusted using the Disk Fit Vario dial system. The Choice is approved not only for riding but also for cycling and skiing. If your head circumference is more than 56 cm, the Mistrall 2 or the Duell is the better choice.
