A DeNiro size consists of three pieces of information: shoe size, height of the boot leg and calf width. For the height DeNiro uses the steps New Extra Short, C (short), MC (medium short), MA (medium tall) and A (tall), and for the calf, letters from XXXS to XXL. The manufacturer’s size chart ranges from shoe size 34 to 46.

In size 38, for example, the boot leg measures 42.5 cm in C, 44.5 cm in MC, 46.5 cm in MA and 48.5 cm in A. In this shoe size the calf width ranges from 30 cm (XXXS) to 40.2 cm (XXL).

What is the difference between the DeNiro Bellini and Raffaello models?

Both are dressage riding boots made from high-quality calf leather with a calf leather lining, an inner 9 mm YKK zip, whalebone in the back strap and a double-welted leather sole with Vibram tread. The removable insole contains activated carbon.

The difference lies in the fit: the Bellini has a narrower ankle area and a soft reinforcement on the outer boot leg, while the Raffaello has a standard reinforcement on the outside. According to DeNiro, both models are available in the basic colour Wrat Black and in further colour variants.

DeNiro riding boots are handmade in Casarano in Italy. The company DeNiroBootCo was founded in 1981 and is based in Lecce, in the heel of the Italian boot. By its own account, the brand combines a passion for equestrian sport with experience in shoe manufacturing.

In its catalogue DeNiro distinguishes models for dressage and show jumping. The DeNiro Green line also includes boots with a leather substitute made from fruit-processing residues, which according to the manufacturer saves more than 70 percent of water in production.
