Eskadron Fly Masks

Fly veils, which Eskadron also calls fly hoods, mainly protect the ears. The fly mask additionally covers the eyes: on the Dynair Mesh Pro Tube there is a dark, close-meshed net in this area, plus an opening for the forelock.

To prevent rubbing, all internal seams of the fly mask are softly lined. Fly veils are available in crocheted cotton or elastic Dynair Mesh, many of them colour-coordinated with the Eskadron collections.

Dynair Mesh is a four-way stretch mesh material, currently made from 85% nylon and 15% elastane. It fits closely and, according to Eskadron, is particularly air-permeable and breathable and allows the ears full freedom of movement.

Eskadron uses it for fly veils such as the Dynair Mesh Jewel with a cord and a decorative stone, as well as for fly masks such as the Dynair Mesh Pro Tube. The classic alternative is crocheted cotton fly veils.

Crocheted fly veils such as the Crystal are made from 100% cotton at Eskadron. The ears themselves are made from softshell or elastic material so that they fit well. On the Crystal a cord with crystal stones provides the sparkle.

The Sport versions have a sportier cut and a patch at the front that you can have embroidered with initials or a logo. Ahrens Reitsport offers embroidery as a service, so feel free to ask us about it.
