Where does Eskadron come from and how is the brand connected with Pikeur?

Eskadron is a German sister company of Pikeur and was founded in 1977. According to the company history, Eskadron manufactures textile horse equipment, while Pikeur stands for riding wear.

Both brands have belonged to the Brinkmann Group from Herford since 1990. Administration and logistics are based in Werther in Westphalia. In 2017 Eskadron celebrated its 40th anniversary.

What distinguishes the Eskadron collections Classic Sports, Platinum and Heritage?

The ranges differ mainly in colour themes and release frequency. Classic Sports is launched twice a year (spring/summer and autumn/winter) in simple, sporty colours. Platinum appears once a year with lots of black and grey and fine graphic designs. Heritage also appears once a year, in muted tones with ornate lettering.

Within a collection, saddle pad, bandages, fly veil and headcollar are colour coordinated.

Which Eskadron brushing boots am I allowed to use at a show jumping competition?

For show jumping classes you are only allowed to use brushing boots that comply with the requirements of the German competition rules (LPO) and the FEI. Eskadron summarises these rules in its own brushing boots guide: for older horses, among other things, a maximum length of 20 cm and a maximum of 500 g of equipment per leg apply. For young horses, only single-shell brushing boots with a maximum internal length of 16 cm and a single, non-elastic hook-and-loop fastener are permitted.

Are there Eskadron items that do not change every season?

Yes, in addition to the seasonal collections Eskadron offers a core range that is produced on an ongoing basis. This includes, for example, saddle pads, brushing boots, rugs and headcollars in classic colours. Individual items in this range are replaced from time to time, but without a fixed seasonal rhythm.

Seasonal colours, on the other hand, are only available for a limited time. If you want saddle pad, bandages and fly veil in the same shade, it is best to buy the set together.
