Eskadron Cooler Rugs

The size is based on your horse’s back length. According to the Eskadron size chart, size S corresponds to a back length of 125 cm, M to 135 cm, L to 145 cm, XL to 155 cm and XXL to 165 cm, with the smallest size P standing for 115 cm.

This is why many of our cooler rugs have double size indications such as L 145 or XL 155. The table also gives the overall length, for example 195 cm for L and 205 cm for XL, as well as the side depth of 100 cm in both sizes. If you are unsure, compare with a well fitting rug your horse already wears or ask us for advice.

Fleece is the classic material for cooler rugs. Eskadron uses anti-pilling fleece made from 100% polyester. The Double-Fleece cooler rug is described as the warmer option, with an anti-pilling outer and a brushed inner surface that traps air and warmth.

Eskadron describes the Aerial Jersey as a light, elastic fabric made from 95% polyester and 5% elastane. The Jersey Sparkle has a shimmering outer material made from 60% cotton and 40% polyester with a brushed underside. In our range you will also find a Waffle Cotton version.

These are names of Eskadron collections, each launched with its own colours and designs. Eskadron publishes catalogues for Platinum, Dynamic, Classic Sports and Basics, plus the Heritage collection. CS in our product names stands for Classic Sports, and the number after it indicates year and season, for example Dynamic 26AW for autumn and winter 2026.

In our range you will find cooler rugs from several of these collections and years, for example Fleece Check, Fleece Stamp and Fleece Stripe as well as models from the Heritage line.

The features depend on the model. The fleece cooler rug from the Heritage collection, for example, has a shiny withers pad, a double front fastening with hook-and-loop stabilisation, internal removable cross surcingles and an integrated tail strap. The Aerial Jersey is equipped in a similar way.

The Double-Fleece has a quilted fleece collar. For cold days Eskadron also offers a fleece neck cover with zip which, according to the manufacturer, can be combined with the fleece cooler rug.
