Boss Equestrian at Ahrens Reitsport
Boss Equestrian is the equestrian line of the German fashion company Hugo Boss. The first collection came onto the market in autumn 2023. It is designed, produced and distributed by a licence partner, Bold Equestrian Ltd., which is based in Switzerland and whose product development is located in Stuttgart. The range combines riding wear with leisure fashion and is complemented by accessories for the horse.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find Boss Equestrian riding breeches for women and men, show jackets, shirts and polo shirts, belts and socks. For the horse there are saddle pads from the collection.
Who actually manufactures Boss Equestrian?
Boss Equestrian is developed, manufactured and distributed by Bold Equestrian Ltd. on behalf of Hugo Boss. Hugo Boss announced the range in summer 2023 as a new licence, and the first collection for autumn and winter 2023 was released in the colours black, white and camel.
Bold Equestrian is based in Switzerland, and product development is located in Stuttgart. Since spring 2024 the colour palette has become broader.
What is the difference between the Full Grip and the Knee Grip riding breeches from Boss?
The difference lies in the grip area: with Full Grip the silicone grip runs seamlessly across the inside of the leg, with Knee Grip it is only in the knee area. According to the manufacturer, both men’s models, Jim with full seat and James with knee patch, are made from an elastic material with 75% polyamide and 25% elastane.
A full seat gives more grip in the saddle, while a knee patch feels freer. The easiest way to find out what suits you better is to try them on in our shop.
How do I care for riding breeches from Boss Equestrian?
Wash the riding breeches on a delicates cycle at a maximum of 30 °C. This is what the manufacturer’s care instructions say for the models with silicone grip.
The label also states: do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron and do not dry clean. It is best to let the breeches air dry. For other parts of the collection, please read the respective care label, as the instructions may differ.
