Yes, Kentucky Horsewear offers a matching lead rope for the braided headcollar from the Plaited Nylon collection. It is 2 m long, made from the same material as the headcollar and, like the headcollar, has gold-coloured fittings.

The headcollar combines artificial leather with knotted nylon. According to the manufacturer, the artificial leather does not absorb water or dirt, does not crack and keeps its colour. It can be adjusted on the left side of the head and at the chin. You can get the braided headcollar from us in Bordeaux, grey, navy, olive green and black.

The nylon headcollar with faux fur is intended for everyday use, the travel headcollar mainly for travelling. On the everyday headcollar, artificial sheepskin is placed directly on strong nylon, it can be adjusted in two places and has a snap hook on the cheekpiece.

On the travel headcollar, the artificial sheepskin covers the nylon and all buckles so that the horse cannot injure itself. Kentucky Horsewear emphasises the low weight, which reduces pressure on the horse’s head. According to the manufacturer it is suitable for long journeys and horses with sensitive skin.

According to the manufacturer, the Kentucky headcollars with faux fur and the braided headcollar can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees, but must not go in the tumble dryer. Kentucky Horsewear recommends machine washing as rarely as possible, using a wash bag and letting the headcollar air dry.

As an alternative, you can clean the braided headcollar made of artificial leather with the brand’s Tack Cleaner. According to the manufacturer you should not use glycerine for this.
