How much feed fits in the Kerbl feed bins Speedy, Jerry and Tom?

The Speedy holds 8 litres, the Jerry 23 litres and the Tom 46 litres. According to the product information this is enough for about 3 kg, 8 kg and 16 kg of dry feed respectively. The bins are food-safe and have a lid with sturdy fastenings that protects against dirt, insects and hungry animals.

For larger quantities there is the black feed bin with 70 litres made of durable plastic. It is very light when empty, has handles for carrying and also a lid to protect against contamination and insect infestation.

Which Kerbl haynet is suitable for 12-hour feeding?

For 12-hour feeding Kerbl recommends the haynet measuring 120 x 90 cm. It has a mesh size of 3 x 3 cm and holds about 8.5 kg of loose hay. For ponies and the trailer there is a smaller version holding about 4 kg, and for 24 hours a larger one holding about 16 kg.

The small meshes slow down feed intake and therefore extend feeding time. According to the manufacturer the net reduces feed loss by up to 30% because less hay is trampled. It can be hung up in the stable, in the field or in the trailer.

What is the Kerbl FlexBag suitable for?

The FlexBag is a flexible trough made of robust, pliable plastic with two handles. Because the material yields you can carry it with both hands or one-handed like a bag. Kerbl recommends it as a feed bucket, as a basket for grooming kit and transport in the stable or in the field and for leaves in the garden.

In our range you will find the FlexBag with 28 and 42 litres. For measuring hard feed the aluminium weighing scoops with 900 g and 1.6 kg are suitable. According to Kerbl, however, these are not food-grade and are intended for animal feed.
