Kieffer Girths

Air-Tex is a breathable, quick-drying blended fabric that wicks sweat to the outside and provides ventilation between girth and horse. Kiefferpren is soft and supple, does not absorb sweat according to Kieffer, and is particularly easy to care for. The Air-Tex Plus variant has a widened belly section and a D-ring.

The EquiConnect is an anatomically shaped short girth with a large, softly padded belly section. A rubber pad relieves pressure on the breastbone and, because the material itself is elastic, it does not need elastic inserts. The Champion made from Kiefferpren is available with three buckles on each side.

Kieffer offers short girths and long girths and gives the length in centimetres. The Air-Tex short girth without elastic is available for example from 30 to 85 cm, the Air-Tex long girth from 90 to 150 cm and the Kiefferpren long girth from 95 to 145 cm. In our range you will find short girths from 45 to 80 cm and long girths between 1.10 and 1.45 m.

For girths with a sheepskin lining Kieffer recommends choosing roughly one size larger because of the additional volume. The easiest way is to base your choice on the length of your current, well fitting girth.

The elastomer strap makes it easier to tighten the girth. It is looped around the roller buckle and automatically pushes the tongue from hole to hole when you tighten the girth, so that according to Kieffer you can tighten easily and safely straight from the saddle. The straps are available as a spare part in a set of four.

Apart from this, Kieffer offers many girths with and without elastic, for example Air-Tex and Kiefferpren. In our range you will find both versions, and the roller buckles from Kieffer are made of stainless, rust-free steel.

Yes, according to Kieffer, the girths made from Air-Tex and Kiefferpren are machine washable up to 30 °C. This applies to the short and long girths as well as to the versions with elastic and the Kiefferpren Champion with three buckles on each side.

Air-Tex dries quickly and wicks sweat to the outside. Kiefferpren does not absorb sweat according to the manufacturer and is therefore considered particularly easy to care for. Kieffer describes both materials as gentle on skin and coat and hard-wearing.
