Lexa Horse Treats

Lexa recommends giving a few treats every day as a reward. The total amount should not exceed 1% of the daily ration, based on the dry matter intake. As a guideline: according to the manufacturer, 15 Horse Crackers weigh about 50 g, and for Wiesenglück 15 treats also correspond to about 50 g.

Treats are complementary feed and count as part of the total ration. If your horse has special feeding requirements, you should agree the amount with your vet. We are also happy to advise you in our feed and care consultation in our shop in Tangstedt.

The Lexa Wiesenglück treats with carrot are grain free. According to the manufacturer, they consist of apple pomace, alfalfa, sugar beet pulp and 10% dried carrot pieces. The crude fibre content is 20%.

The Horse Crackers, on the other hand, contain maize and wheat as a base, and depending on the variety also barley. If you want to avoid grain, you should therefore choose Wiesenglück. We stock Wiesenglück Carrot in a 1 kg bag alongside the Horse Crackers.

According to Lexa, the Multimix combines eight varieties in one bag: apple, rosehip, herbs, carrot, banana, pineapple, beetroot and mint. The Duo bags each contain two varieties to keep the reward varied.

We stock the Duo Horse Crackers in carrot with beetroot, rosehip with mint and herbs with apple, plus the Multimix, each in a 1 kg bag. The composition differs for each variety, for example with 5% apple pomace in the apple variety or 5% carrot pomace in the carrot variety.

Fruit Mix is a reward muesli for horses that only need a small amount of hard feed. Lexa states that it is molasses free, contains only 15% micronised barley and maize flakes and 3% sugar. Apple, carrot, beetroot, pear and banana provide the flavour.

Fruit Mix is deliberately not mineralised. This means that according to the manufacturer you can freely choose a suitable mineral feed and mix it into the portion, which can be helpful for fussy eaters. With 15.6% crude protein at 8.2 MJ ME/kg it provides protein at a moderate energy level according to Lexa.
