Yes, the Protective Jodhpur is certified as safety footwear under the EN ISO 20345:2022 standard in class SB E. Mountain Horse counts it among the first riding boots in the industry to be approved as safety footwear. The classic version has a steel toe cap.

On the Protective Jodhpur XTR Lite model the manufacturer uses an anatomically shaped aluminium cap, which is intended to be lighter to wear than a steel toe cap. For both models Mountain Horse states a hard-wearing, oiled full-grain leather as the upper material.
