Mountain Horse Women's Jackets

In its size chart Mountain Horse matches the women’s sizes to clothing sizes: XS corresponds to 34, S to sizes 36 and 38, M to 40, L to sizes 42 and 44, and XL to 46. As a guideline the manufacturer gives the chest measurement, for example about 92 cm for size 40 and 100 cm for size 44.

Measure your chest at the widest point and compare it with the chart. We stock the women’s jackets from XS to 3XL, depending on the model. It is best to try the jacket on in our shop over a warm jumper, because in winter you usually wear several layers.

According to Mountain Horse the Galaxy Parka is a unisex model and therefore follows the unisex size chart. In this chart unisex XS corresponds to the women’s size S (36/38), unisex S to the women’s size M (40) and unisex M to the women’s size L (42/44). Women usually choose one size smaller than usual for the parka.

The parka is padded, waterproof and windproof with W.P.S 5000 material, has taped seams, a detachable hood, reflective details on the sleeve and side slits with press studs. The manufacturer gives the back length as 82 cm. We stock it in black from XS to 3XL.

Yes, according to Mountain Horse the Royal Grace jacket has a waterproof, breathable material with fully taped seams. The manufacturer describes it as a new version of its classic riding jacket with a shaped back section and elasticated hem.

For riding the important features are the two-way zip from YKK, the riding vents at the back, a detachable hood and reflective details for dark winter days. The back length is 72 cm. Mountain Horse offers the jacket in blue, navy and dark green among others. We currently stock it in blue in sizes S to XL.

Before washing, close all zips, buttons and hook-and-loop fastenings. According to Mountain Horse this reduces the risk of damaging the material and details of the jacket. Temperature and wash programme are stated on the care label. One line under the wash symbol means a gentle cycle with the drum half full, two lines mean an extra gentle cycle.

According to the manufacturer most garments tolerate a short spin, and many also the tumble dryer if the label permits it. Wool must never go in the tumble dryer. For padded jackets such as a parka or coat always follow the symbols on the label.
