Which Waldhausen headcollar is suitable for turnout?
For turnout Waldhausen has its own field headcollar with a safety fastening. There is a hook-and-loop fastening on the headpiece that opens under pressure so that your horse can free itself in an emergency. The throatlatch is also closed with hook-and-loop.
As the headcollar has no metal fittings it is, according to the manufacturer, particularly light. Waldhausen also offers the field headcollar with fly fringes or with a fly mask. We stock the field headcollar in black, in Thoroughbred and Warmblood sizes.

How do the Waldhausen Satin, Perlon and Rosé headcollars differ?
Perlon is plain, Satin and Rosé are softly padded. The Perlon headcollar is soft, has shiny fittings and a continuously adjustable headpiece. The Satin headcollar is multi-adjustable and has matt fittings.
The Rosé headcollar has rose-gold fittings and effect yarn and is multi-adjustable on one side of the headpiece. The Shine variant is also padded, with rose-gold fittings, and can additionally be adjusted at the chinstrap. Waldhausen lists matching lead ropes for all four models.
What sizes are available in Waldhausen headcollars?
We stock Waldhausen headcollars, depending on the model, in Pony, Thoroughbred, Warmblood and Warmblood Extra. The Perlon Satin headcollar, for example, covers all four sizes, the rope halter is available in Pony, Thoroughbred and Warmblood.
We have not found measurements in centimetres on the manufacturer’s product pages. As many models are multi-adjustable, the fit can be adapted within a size. The safest way is to compare with the headcollar that currently fits your horse well.
