Wash the rug with HEY Rug Wash and waterproof it with HEY Rug Impra, which is added directly during the wash cycle. Rug Wash is a special detergent for synthetic and cotton rugs, removes, according to the manufacturer, muck and urine stains and is also suitable for breathable membrane fabrics.

Rug Impra makes the rug water- and dirt-repellent and maintains its breathability. Both products are suitable for machine and hand washing. The HEY brand belongs to Schweizer-Effax GmbH from Nordwalde.

That depends on the material: for jackets with membranes use HEY Tex Wash, for softshell, fleece and elastane use HEY Micro Wash, and for down use HEY Down Wash. According to the manufacturer, Tex Wash does not clog the membrane, contains no bleaching agents and is biodegradable.

Micro Wash is intended to maintain the breathability of technical fabrics, has an antistatic effect and neutralises odours. Down Wash preserves the natural fat content of the down so that it does not clump or become brittle.

You can either waterproof in the washing machine with HEY Impra Wash-In or from the outside with HEY Tex Impra Spray. According to the manufacturer, Impra Wash-In is fluorine-free, water-based and solvent-free, is particularly suitable for membrane textiles and is activated by heat after washing.

Tex Impra Spray is fluorine- and silicone-free, is sprayed using air pressure without propellant and dries quickly. With both methods, the breathability of the textiles is maintained according to HEY.

HEY Foam Active Cleaner is intended for equipment that must not go in the washing machine. The manufacturer explicitly mentions helmets, shoes, body protectors and rucksacks. The foam cleans inside and out and can be applied precisely.

According to HEY, the formula is gentle on materials and odour-neutral. Always also follow the care instructions of the helmet or body protector manufacturer, because these take precedence for protective equipment.
