KEP Italia Riding Helmets

With KEP there are two things that determine the size: the helmet shell and the inner liner. According to the manufacturer, the shell comes in Medium for head circumferences from 51 to 58 cm and in Large for 59 to 62 cm. The one-piece liner is chosen to match your head circumference and is compatible with all KEP helmets.

This has practical advantages. If you sometimes ride with your hair down and sometimes with it up, you can use two liners in different sizes. We stock the helmets with a Medium shell and the KEP Innerpad 2.0 in sizes 54 to 59. During helmet fitting in our shop we measure the fit together with you.

The Smart Nova has a lacquered ABS shell with EPS inner shell, the Cromo 2.0 has a polycarbonate shell made using the in-moulding process. The Smart Nova has an extended neck protection, a synthetic leather chinstrap with five attachment points and a flexible visor that you can replace yourself.

According to KEP, the Cromo 2.0 is developed and manufactured entirely in Italy. It has a hand-stitched genuine leather chinstrap, replaceable inserts at the front and back, a microchip for emergency data via the KEP app and weighs 500 g in size M. A jockey visor is included.

Yes, among other versions, KEP offers the Cromo 2.0 with a chrome-plated frame set with Swarovski crystals. The manufacturer offers the Smart Nova in the Metal Polish finish with a metallic effect, in brown as well as black and blue.

We stock the KEP helmets in black. If you would like your helmet to sparkle, we can advise you in Tangstedt on customisation, for example with Swarovski appliqués. You are also welcome to ask us about other colours.

Yes, the inner liner of KEP helmets is removable and, according to the manufacturer, can be washed by hand or in the machine at 30 °C. It is made of breathable material and, according to KEP, the standard liners are finished with Sanitized.

Because the liner determines the size, you can simply replace it if necessary. KEP gives the example of growing children who only need a larger liner instead of a new helmet. For the cold season the manufacturer also offers a winter liner that keeps ears and neck warm. We stock the KEP Innerpad 2.0 in sizes 54 to 59.
