LeMieux Brushing Boots

The Mesh Brushing boots are lightweight brushing boots with particularly breathable 3D mesh as the outer material. The inside is lined with perforated mesh, and a reinforced strike pad protects the inside of the leg from knocks and scrapes.

The inner surface is made from grained PU leather, as are the hook-and-loop fastenings. A soft, smooth binding on the edges is intended to prevent rubbing. LeMieux envisages the boots for training and competition use. We stock them in sizes S to XL and in brown, black and white.

The Fleece Edged models additionally have a soft fleece edge that prevents rubbing. LeMieux recommends them for horses with sensitive skin or if boots that are fully lined with fleece are too bulky.

Inside, perforated 3D mesh again provides air circulation to keep the legs cool. A strike pad made from PU leather absorbs knocks. The flat hook-and-loop fastening is intended to prevent sand or surface footing from getting stuck in it. We stock the Fleece Edged boots in black and white.

Yes, LeMieux states that the Mesh Brushing and the Fleece Edged boots are suitable for front and hind legs. They are each sold in pairs.

On the Fleece Edged Mesh boots a double upper strap allows quick fitting. According to the manufacturer, elastic straps keep the boot secure without you having to fasten it too tightly, and rubberised tabs make removal easier. When putting them on, make sure that the strike pad lies on the inside of the leg.
