Waldhausen Care Products

Waldhausen has three products for this: the frog and hoof spray with tea tree, thyme and pine oil plus camomile is intended to prevent thrush and forms a waterproof protective film. After cleaning, you spray it onto frog and sole, daily if required, otherwise once or twice a week.

The intensive frog care is a lotion for frog, sole and white line. You apply 2 to 3 drops into the dry brushed frog grooves. The hoof tar made from beechwood tar protects against moisture and dirt. If problems persist, please consult your farrier or vet.

After cleaning the hooves, apply the hoof oil with the brush to the outer hoof wall and the coronet band. According to Waldhausen, daily use is best. The oils are intended to protect the hoof from drying out and from becoming soft and to support elasticity and growth.

Alongside other oils, it contains laurel oil, bay leaf oil and lanolin. The manufacturer points out that the product can cause allergic reactions. We stock the hoof oil with laurel oil as a 500 ml bottle with brush.

The disinfectant spray is intended for the stable and equipment and, according to Waldhausen, is effective against bacteria, viruses and fungi. With the blue version, an even colour shows that the whole surface has been covered. You spray from a distance of 20 to 30 cm with the can held upright.

It is a biocidal product, so always read the label and product information before use. We stock the spray in a 200 ml can in blue and in a colourless version. In the event of injuries to the horse, please consult your vet.

FAFITS gives the saddle and boots elastic, long-lasting grip. According to Waldhausen, this improves your leg position and gives you more security, reins or driving lines slip through your hands less and gloves have a better grip.

To make it easier to apply, the manufacturer recommends warming the can slightly on the radiator beforehand. According to the manufacturer, FAFITS is made in Germany. We stock FAFITS in a 100 ml can.

Yes, Waldhausen offers a coat and mane spray with coconut oil. It is intended to regenerate brittle hair, give shine, prevent drying out and make combing easier. You spray it onto the coat, mane and tail, separate the strands and comb through the mane and, once it has dried slightly, brush out thoroughly.

The spray is available in 500 ml, 1000 ml and 2500 ml, plus a variant with Aloe Vera. It is currently not included in our Waldhausen selection, but you are welcome to ask in the shop for an alternative.
