Waldhausen Exercise Sheets

The Reflex exercise sheets and exercise rugs have a saddle cut-out and are worn while you are riding, horse walker rugs are intended for the horse without a rider. Waldhausen fastens the Reflex exercise rug in front of the saddle with a hook-and-loop fastening and gives it a smooth nylon lining.

According to the manufacturer, the Reflex horse walker rug is made from 600 denier material, is waterproof and breathable, with fleece lining, cross surcingles and a tail strap. From Waldhausen we stock exercise sheets and exercise rugs in L 145 as well as the Reflex horse walker rug in S 125, M 135 and XL 155.

That depends on the version. Waldhausen describes the Reflex exercise sheet with fleece as waterproof and breathable. It has a neon yellow outer fabric with reflective strips on both sides and on the tail flap and a fleece lining that absorbs moisture well.

The simple Reflex exercise sheet on the other hand is a lightweight mesh rug made from highly reflective fabric with silver reflective stripes, a saddle cut-out and tail cord. Its main purpose is visibility in the dark and in fog. Both are made from 100% polyester.

The Exclusive is a lined exercise sheet for cold days. According to the manufacturer Waldhausen lines it with artificial rabbit fur that retains body heat well, is particularly soft and helps prevent rubbing. The fill is 50 g.

The rug is closed with a strong hook-and-loop fastening at the withers, metal eyelets take a tail strap. Outer material, lining and fill are made from polyester. For hacks at dawn or dusk Waldhausen instead offers the Reflex models.

First read the care label, because that determines temperature and wash cycle. Waldhausen recommends brushing out coarse hair and dirt beforehand, cleaning hook-and-loop fastenings with a wire brush and wrapping fastenings so they do not get caught in the drum.

Fabric conditioner and tumble dryer are a no-go, the rug should be left to dry hanging so it does not crease. Only fold it once it is completely dry, otherwise there is a risk of mould. According to Waldhausen you should not reproof waterproof rugs, because that clogs the pores and reduces breathability.
