Waldhausen Overreach Boots

The rubber overreach boots from Waldhausen are made from soft, robust rubber, are shock-absorbing and easy to care for. The Rubber Pro version has a strong hook-and-loop fastener with a rubber cover. There are also models with a soft sheepskin or synthetic fur trim, such as the sheepskin overreach boot with double hook-and-loop fastening.

The Professional overreach boot has an integrated stopper to prevent twisting and is designed to give good protection to the coronet band and bulbs of the heel. Waldhausen offers Basic and Rubber Pro in sizes S to XXL. We stock the rubber overreach boot in black and pink in sizes M to XXL.

The hoof bandage protector is pulled over a hoof bandage and protects it in everyday use. It is made from hard-wearing canvas with a PVC sole, is fastened with a hook-and-loop strap and is washable.

Waldhausen offers it in two sizes: WB with a diameter of about 22 cm and a height of 28 cm, Pony with a diameter of about 17 cm and a height of 27 cm. How long a bandage should be worn and how it should be applied is something you should ideally discuss with your vet or your farrier.

The Reflex overreach boot has a neon yellow outer material, a soft fleece lining and reflective binding so that your horse can be seen better at dusk, in fog or in the dark. A strong hook-and-loop fastener keeps it on the hoof, and it is supplied in pairs in one size.

In its guide, Waldhausen points out the German road traffic regulations: riders must be sufficiently lit in poor visibility, and additional reflective brushing boots and reflective clothing are recommended. The matching Reflex brushing boot is also available.

The Health + Care cooling overreach boots have a firmly integrated gel cooling pad that is intended to cool the hoof evenly over a long period. Before use, store the overreach boots in the fridge or freezer compartment, but not for too long in the freezer, otherwise the cooling chambers will freeze. They are fastened with two strong hook-and-loop fasteners.

Waldhausen states that the cooling overreach boots are suitable for hoof disorders. If your horse has any issues you should always agree the cooling regime with your vet.
