Agrobs Supplements

Agrobs Seniormineral is intended above all for older horses, but according to the manufacturer it is also suitable in times of increased demand. Agrobs includes growth, training phases and breeding and sport in this category. The manufacturer also mentions horses with a sensitive metabolism, especially on a weight-loss diet.

The recipe is based on green fibres, is free from cereals, molasses and alfalfa and low in starch and sugar. In addition to vitamins A, D and E it contains B vitamins, biotin, vitamin C, zinc, selenium, copper, iodine and essential amino acids. Agrobs states that the feed complies with the ADMR rules.

Agrobs recommends 10–15 g per 100 kg body weight daily, so 60–90 g for a horse weighing 600 kg. According to the manufacturer, one level measuring scoop holds about 15 g.

Because of the high levels of vitamins and trace elements, Seniormineral must make up no more than 1.7% of the daily ration including hay. You can get Seniormineral from us in a 10 kg bag and as a 3 kg refill. If your horse is receiving other supplements, it is best to coordinate the ration with your vet or a feed adviser.

Both products cover basic requirements for vitamins, macro and trace elements. Seniormineral additionally provides essential amino acids and vitamin C. It is therefore aimed at older horses and horses with higher requirements, for example for building and maintaining muscle.

Naturmineral is intended for all horses and ponies and focuses on zinc, copper, iodine and selenium. Iron is deliberately not included. Both recipes are cereal- and molasses-free, low in starch and sugar and are fed at 10–15 g per 100 kg body weight.

Zink Pur is a supplement with which you feed additional zinc in a targeted way. Agrobs uses purely organically bound zinc as a chelate, with 12,000 mg per kilogram, on a basis of dried meadow grasses, herbs and linseed.

The recommended amount is 5 g per 100 kg body weight daily, which is about 30 g for a large horse weighing 600 kg and 20 g for a small horse weighing 400 kg. Because of the high zinc content you should not feed more. It is best to discuss with your vet or a feed adviser whether your horse needs additional zinc.
