Agrobs at Ahrens Reitsport
Agrobs is a feed manufacturer from Degerndorf in Upper Bavaria. Jakob Berger founded the company in 1993 and developed feed based on meadow grasses and herbs from the Bavarian Alpine foothills. Since 2007 his sons Florian and Simon Berger have been running the company. The raw materials come from farmers in the region with whom Agrobs has concluded quality agreements.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find mueslis and mash, cobs and lucerne, senior feed, mineral feed and supplements as well as treats from Agrobs. You can conveniently collect heavy feed sacks via our pick-up station at our shop in Tangstedt.
Where does Agrobs feed come from?
Agrobs feed comes from the Bavarian Alpine foothills. The company buys grasses and herbs from farmers and drying cooperatives in the region and even coordinates the cutting dates with them.
The entire production follows quality management in accordance with GMP+. Agrobs and the associated Rauscherhof are also certified by Naturland and are authorised to produce and trade organic feed.
Is Agrobs Alpengrün Muesli cereal-free?
Yes, Alpengrün Muesli contains no cereals, bran or molasses. It is based on hot-air-dried meadow grasses and herbs, supplemented among other things with linseed expeller, sunflower seeds, carrots, rosehips, flowers and raspberry and blackberry leaves.
The manufacturer describes the starch and sugar content as moderate. Whether the muesli is suitable for your horse depends on workload, body condition and health. If there are metabolic problems, please agree the ration with your vet.
Does Agrobs also offer feed for older horses?
Yes, Agrobs offers its own products for seniors, for example a senior muesli, Alpengrün Senior Muesli, Seniormineral and Pre Alpin Senior.
Which combination is suitable depends on the condition of the teeth and the forage your horse receives. In our feed and care consultation in the shop we are happy to help you choose.
