ANKY at Ahrens Reitsport
ANKY is an equestrian brand that was founded in 1998 by the Dutch dressage rider Anky van Grunsven and Sjef Janssen. The aim was fashionable, comfortable and high quality riding wear. Since 2012 the Dutch wholesaler Bieman de Haas has been responsible for design, production and distribution, with Anky van Grunsven remaining involved in styling and development.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find ANKY riding tights, technical shirts and T-shirts, knitted jumpers and cardigans, jackets and coats, riding socks and gloves for women riders, as well as bandage pads for the horse.
Who is behind the ANKY brand?
Behind ANKY is Anky van Grunsven, one of the most successful dressage riders in the world. She won Olympic gold in the individual competition in 2000, 2004 and 2008, first with Bonfire and then twice with Salinero.
In 1998 she founded the brand ANKY together with Sjef Janssen because she wanted riding wear that was stylish, comfortable and high quality at the same time. The brand is now sold in many countries.
Who manufactures ANKY today?
Since 2012 the design, production and distribution of ANKY have been handled by Bieman de Haas B.V. in Boven-Leeuwen in the Netherlands. The family business was founded in 1928 and is now a major equestrian wholesale company.
According to the agreement, Anky van Grunsven continues to be closely involved in the styling, development and presentation of the collections. The quality and orientation of the brand are intended to remain unchanged.
What does ANKY offer for riding and for the yard?
For riding, we mainly stock ANKY riding tights, technical shirts, technical riding socks and mesh gloves. For the yard and leisure there are also knitted jumpers, cardigans, a bomber jacket and a long coat.
For the horse there are bandage pads in the 50 x 50 cm format. It is best to try on riding wear directly in our shop, because cut and fit vary depending on the model.
