Tech Stirrups at Ahrens Reitsport
Tech Stirrups is an Italian manufacturer of safety stirrups based in Palazzolo sull’Oglio in the province of Brescia. The stirrups are made in Italy and combine technical development with eye-catching design, with many models available in different colours and with Swarovski crystals. At the heart of the design is a safety mechanism that releases the foot in the event of a fall.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find the Tech Stirrups Venice Dressage Sloped dressage stirrup, in a classic version and in a version with Swarovski crystals.
How does the safety mechanism work on Tech Stirrups?
The safety stirrup opens under the pressure of the rider’s foot in the event of a fall and immediately releases the foot. Afterwards, an internal spring mechanism automatically returns the stirrup to its original shape.
According to the manufacturer, the mechanism is intended to release only when it is needed and not to affect your aids in normal riding. However, no safety stirrup can replace suitable footwear and a correctly adjusted stirrup length.
What does “Sloped” mean on the Venice Dressage?
Sloped means that the tread is angled. This slope is intended to help keep your heel down, which supports a quiet, correct seat, especially in dressage.
According to the manufacturer, the Venice Dressage Sloped also has an especially wide opening that makes it easy for your foot to go in and out. The best way to find out whether you like the angled tread is to try it for yourself.
Are there Tech Stirrups with Swarovski crystals?
Yes, Tech Stirrups offers many models with Swarovski crystals, including the Venice Dressage Sloped, which we stock in this version. The crystals are finished by hand in Italy.
