Effax at Ahrens Reitsport
Effax is the leather care brand of Schweizer-Effax GmbH from Nordwalde in the Münsterland region, which also includes the horse care brand Effol. Its roots go back to 1906, when the company was founded in Mannheim and initially focused on leather and hoof care. Production has been carried out according to GMP standard since 1997.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find Effax care products for saddle, bridle and boots: Leather Balsam, Leather Oil, Leather Grease, Leather Combi, Cream Soap, Boot Polish and brushing boot care, as well as care sets and accessories.
Where does the Effax brand come from?
Effax comes from Germany. The company was founded in Mannheim on 18 January 1906, was renamed Chemische Fabrik Effax in 1909 and was taken over by Chemische Werke Schweizer in 1936.
Today Schweizer-Effax GmbH is based in Nordwalde and has been part of the Eimermacher Group since 1997. In addition to Effax leather care, the horse care brand Effol also belongs to the company and has been the official supplier of the DOKR since 2011.
How do I care for my saddle with Effax?
Effax leather care is generally used without water, which is gentle on the leather. For quick cleaning, the Leather Cream Soap is ideal. It cleans and conditions in one step and leaves a grippy surface.
For thorough care there is the Leather Balsam with lanolin, oils and waxes. It has a moisture-repellent effect and gives shine. Please follow the instructions for use on the label. If you have any questions about the right care, we are happy to advise you in our shop in Tangstedt.
What ingredients are in Effax products?
According to the manufacturer, Effax leather care is free from silicone, parabens and microplastics. Many products contain lanolin, and the Leather Cream Soap additionally contains soya potash soap.
The packaging is partly made from recycled plastic. Please observe the safety warnings on the respective label. The loyalty card discount does not apply to care products, only to equestrian items.
