Equirise at Ahrens Reitsport
Equirise is a young hoof care brand from Trittau in the district of Stormarn, right here in our region. The idea arose in 2024 among farriers who wanted to give their clients practical solutions for healthy hooves. After around two years of development, production and testing, the brand launched its first own products.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find Equirise hoof oil in two sizes, the gap filler for nail holes and the white line, the frog care product Strahlfix and a hoof balm with sponge.
Who is behind Equirise?
Behind Equirise are farriers from the region who have developed hoof care products based on their daily work. The idea arose in 2024 after a long working day in the forge.
The aim was to inform horse owners about hoof problems and their causes and at the same time to offer simple solutions. Equirise GmbH is based in Trittau in the district of Stormarn, not far from our shop in Tangstedt.
How do I use the Equirise gap filler correctly?
Work the gap filler generously into nail holes, superficial cracks, broken-out areas and the white line. First brush the dry hoof thoroughly or allow the washed hoof to dry completely.
If there are existing problems, Equirise recommends daily use, and for prevention every three to four days. According to the manufacturer it is particularly effective to apply the paste directly when the horse is shod, before the shoe is nailed on.
What is Equirise hoof oil intended for?
Equirise hoof oil is intended for daily hoof care and is designed to support the hoof’s natural moisture balance and elasticity. We stock it in two pack sizes.
For targeted problems, gap filler and Strahlfix complete the range. Hoof care products are no substitute for regular trimming and shoeing by a farrier or hoof care professional. In cases of lameness or deep cracks, please speak to specialists or your vet.
