Eggersmann at Ahrens Reitsport
Eggersmann is a feed manufacturer from the Weser Uplands based in Extertal. The story began in 1932 when flours and feed meals were first produced at the Wesermühle Rinteln. Today Heinrich Eggersmann Futtermittelwerke GmbH produces, among other things, horse feed, providing everything from advice and production through to logistics from a single source. A special feature is EMH, a fermented herbal extract that is contained in several products.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find the liquid concentrate EMH direkt and the Mineral Bricks from Eggersmann.
What is EMH direkt from Eggersmann?
EMH direkt is a liquid concentrate made from a herbal extract that is fermented with the plants’ own microorganisms. Eggersmann uses it to support the intestinal flora and metabolism.
According to the manufacturer, large horses receive 30 ml once a day, ponies and small horses 15 ml, each given with the hard feed in the manger. Eggersmann lists typical times of use such as the phase after worming or during intensive training. In case of illness please speak to your vet.
How many Eggersmann Mineral Bricks does my horse get?
According to the manufacturer, light horses and ponies receive about 50 g per day, which is roughly 4 to 5 bricks. Heavy horses receive around 100 g, that is about 8 to 10 bricks.
The Mineral Bricks contain vitamins, minerals and trace elements and, thanks to their handy shape, can easily be fed from the hand. Eggersmann particularly recommends them for the grazing season and for horses kept out all year round.
Where does the horse feed from Eggersmann come from?
Eggersmann horse feed comes from the Weser Uplands. Heinrich Eggersmann Futtermittelwerke GmbH is based in Extertal, with its roots in the Wesermühle Rinteln, where production began in 1932.
In modern mixing plants the components are brought together and every step is continuously monitored. In addition, experienced staff visually check the production. The company is still family-run today.
