SALVANA is a feed manufacturer from Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop in Schleswig-Holstein and has been producing mineral and specialist feed for livestock and horses since 1904. According to its own information, SALVANA was the first manufacturer to launch granulated mineral feed on the market, and later, with SALVASTAR PS, the first portioned mineral feed for horses in Germany.

How much SALVANA Pferdemineral does my horse need?
According to the manufacturer, a riding horse receives about 125 to 150 g SALVANA Pferdemineral per day, ponies 50 to 100 g. For broodmares, stallions at stud and racehorses 150 to 200 g are recommended.
The small pellets with a diameter of 3.5 mm can easily be mixed into the hard feed in the manger so the mineral feed is safely consumed. It supplements grazing, hay and oats with minerals, trace elements and vitamins.
What is the difference between Pferdemineral and Mineralbrix?
Pferdemineral consists of small pellets to be mixed into the feed, while Mineralbrix are cereal-free mineral bricks that you can feed by hand. The bricks have a diameter of about 15 mm.
According to the manufacturer, Mineralbrix are particularly suitable for good doers and horses that cannot tolerate cereals. Large horses receive about 100 g per day, which corresponds to roughly a good handful.
How do I prepare SALVANA Magen Mash?
Mix the Magen Mash at a ratio of 1 to 2 with cold or hand-warm water and stir it again after about 15 minutes. Cold water is possible because the linseed has already been pre-treated.
A large horse weighing 600 kg receives 450 to 900 g mash, usually once or twice per week. The mash is cereal-free and molasses-free. If your horse has stomach problems, please discuss feeding with your vet.
