Marstall at Ahrens Reitsport

marstall is a horse feed manufacturer from Oberstaufen in the Allgäu region. Production takes place in the Weissachmühle, whose management has been in the hands of the same family for eight generations. For around five decades the brand has stood for horse feed, which began with the hydrothermal processing of cereals. According to the manufacturer, raw materials are processed entirely in house, from the flake to the pellet.

At Ahrens Reitsport you will find marstall mineral feed, supplements for hooves and gut, and mash, also available as a handy single serving for when you are on the go.

Where does the feed brand marstall come from?

marstall comes from Oberstaufen in the Allgäu region and is manufactured in the Weissachmühle. The mill has been run by the same family for eight generations, today by Linda Fink.

The history of the brand begins with the first horse muesli from Moritz Spring. In 1981 Andreas Spichiger bought the brand, and three years later production started in the Weissachmühle. Since 2002 the European trademark rights for marstall have been held by the Weissachmühle.

How do I feed marstall Force correctly?

Force is a mineral feed dosed according to bodyweight: for leisure horses roughly 10 to 15 g per 100 kg live weight per day. Sport horses receive around 15 to 20 g, older horses about 20 g. One measuring scoop holds approximately 100 g.

The small pellets are cereal free and contain brewer’s yeast. If your horse also receives hard feed containing added minerals, adjust the quantity. The dosage should not exceed the manufacturer’s recommendations.

How do I prepare marstall MashToGo?

Open the 500 g bag, fill it up with about one litre of hot water and leave the mash to soak for 15 to 20 minutes with the bag well closed. Then check the temperature and feed it lukewarm in the trough.

marstall Mash is free from sugar, molasses and preservatives and deliberately contains no added vitamins and minerals. This means it can be combined with any ration. If you have any questions about feeding, we are happy to advise you.
