TRUST Equestrian at Ahrens Reitsport
TRUST Equestrian is a Dutch manufacturer of bits. Production is in the hands of the brothers Teun and Bas van Riel and a team of technicians. According to the manufacturer, each bit is handmade, welded and polished in the Netherlands. TRUST is known among other things for bits made from Sweet Iron and for the plastic line Inno Sense.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find curb bits from the Inno Sense range, loose ring snaffles made from Sweet Iron and bridles by TRUST.
Where do TRUST bits come from?
TRUST bits come from the Netherlands and are handmade there. The brothers Teun and Bas van Riel are responsible for production together with a team of technicians.
According to the manufacturer, each piece is welded and polished by hand. Finally, the size and brand name are stamped on. The plastic and leather bits are also made in the Netherlands.
Which horses are Inno Sense bits suitable for?
Inno Sense bits can be used for all horses, but according to the manufacturer they are particularly suitable for young horses and horses with a sensitive mouth. The material does not contain any plasticisers.
We stock Inno Sense curb bits in medium and hard versions and in thicknesses of 14 and 15 mm. The best way to find out which bit is suitable for your horse is our bit fitting in our shop in Tangstedt or at your yard.
Why are Sweet Iron bits from TRUST blue?
The blue colour is created when the Sweet Iron is briefly heated during manufacture. According to the manufacturer, this is how the bit gets its deep blue shade.
From TRUST we stock a single-jointed loose ring snaffle made from Sweet Iron in a thickness of 16 mm. You are welcome to discuss whether such a bit is suitable for your horse with Julia Lühr during our bit fitting. You can also have the measurements and thickness checked there.
