BR at Ahrens Reitsport
BR is the in-house brand of the Dutch equestrian wholesaler Bieman de Haas. The family business began in 1928 as a saddlery and rope-making company and has focused entirely on equestrianism since the 1960s. The brand BR, short for Bieman Riding, was introduced in the 1980s.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find BR equipment for horse and rider: saddle pads, brushing boots, gel half pads, exercise sheets and grooming kit, as well as riding helmets, headbands, hats, socks and knitwear for women.
Where does the brand BR come from?
BR comes from the Netherlands and belongs to Bieman de Haas in Boven-Leeuwen. The company was founded in 1928 as a saddlery and rope-making business and initially produced leather goods for agriculture.
From the mid-1960s the company worked exclusively in the equestrian sector, and later added wholesale. The in-house brand BR, short for Bieman Riding, was created in the 1980s. Today the fourth generation of the family runs the company.
Which BR products are available at Ahrens Reitsport?
We stock a wide selection from BR for horse and rider. For the horse there are saddle pads, brushing boots and tendon boots, exercise sheets, gel half pads and grooming kit such as the Schimmelstein.
For riders you will find riding helmets, headbands, hats, thermal riding socks and jumpers. The online shop shows what is currently in stock. We will order items that are not available in the shop for you, and the delivery time is then around 2–3 weeks.
Where can I find advice on BR riding helmets?
In our shop in Tangstedt we advise you as part of our helmet fitting. This is about the correct fit and the applicable standards so that the helmet sits safely.
On request we also customise helmets, for example with Swarovski appliqués. For the fitting, it is best to wear your hair as usual or bring your hairnet so that the helmet later sits exactly as it does when you are riding.
