HKM at Ahrens Reitsport
HKM is an equestrian brand of HKM Sports Equipment GmbH based in Neuenhaus in Lower Saxony, near the Dutch border. The company offers a full range for rider and horse in various price brackets and supplies specialist retailers throughout Europe. The brands Lauria Garrelli, Cavallino Marino and Pro-Team also belong to the company.
At Ahrens Reitsport you will find a wide selection from HKM: clothing for women, men and children, show wear, gloves, riding and all-weather boots, riding helmets, headcollars, fly rugs and exercise sheets, saddle pads and grooming boxes.
Where does the brand HKM come from?
HKM is based in Neuenhaus in Lower Saxony, in the border region with the Netherlands. This is where HKM Sports Equipment GmbH has its headquarters. As a full-range supplier, it offers products for rider and horse in all price segments.
Co-founder Klaus Egbers ran the company as owner for many years. Since 2018 an investment company has been the majority shareholder. In addition to HKM, the brands Lauria Garrelli, Cavallino Marino and Pro-Team also belong to the company.
What does HKM offer for children who ride?
Among other things, we stock HKM riding boots, competition riding breeches and winter riding gloves for children, as well as grooming boxes in child-friendly designs. This makes it easy to put together the basic kit for riding school and first competition.
For children's riding boots there are versions with different leg heights and widths, for example long and narrow. Because children's legs grow quickly, we recommend trying them on in the shop so that the length and calf width really fit.
Can I have an HKM riding helmet adjusted at Ahrens?
Yes, at Ahrens Reitsport you can get a helmet fitting, where we check the fit and position together with you and make sure that the relevant standards are met.
If you wish, we can also customise helmets, for example with Swarovski appliqués. For this it is best if you come to our shop in Tangstedt for the fitting with your usual hairstyle.
